Measure your crate, not your dog

This cover is cut to five specific wire crate sizes rather than one stretchy "fits most" shape, so getting the size right comes down to one measurement: your crate’s length. Here’s how to take it, and the full size chart.

How to measure

You’ll need a tape measure and about a minute. Measure the crate itself — empty, door closed — not your dog.

LENGTH — front door to back panel

Measure along the base, outer edge to outer edge — this is the number that decides your size

Close the door

Make sure the crate door is shut, as it normally sits when your dog is inside.

Measure the length

Run the tape along the base from the outer edge of the front door to the outer edge of the back panel.

Round up if in between

If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger one so the cover isn’t stretched tight.

Measure the base at its widest point, outer edge to outer edge

HEIGHT — floor to top rail

Measure from the floor to the top wire rail, at the crate’s tallest point

→ Between two sizes, or your crate’s a different brand? Size up rather than down — a slightly looser fit still covers properly, while sizing down can leave the cover pulled tight and gapping at the corners.
